ICCROM mockup card

For ICCROM, the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property, we developed a creative proposal for the organisation’s new logo and corporate identity.

The restyling aimed to retain some of the visual elements from the previous identity while emphasising the brand’s distinctive features and giving it a fresher, more modern overall look—one that clearly communicates the values of progress, inclusivity and wellbeing.

The new logo preserves the oval shape and the reference to the globe, reinterpreting them through a more modern, colourful and high-contrast style. The soft, rounded forms, together with the opening on one side, evoke the concepts of inclusivity and expansion. The chosen typeface is more contemporary and geometric, creating an engaging contrast with the lines of the symbol and giving the visual identity a more modern character.

The selected colour palette is based on the primary colours—red, yellow and blue—which evoke the concept of origins.

In addition to redesigning the historic logo, we reimagined the organisation’s merchandise and developed original ideas to strengthen ICCROM’s internal communication. We also created concepts for social media content designed to engage the public and increase awareness and visibility of the organisation.

Through this project, IL Studio took part in the restyling competition launched by ICCROM.
